Going Digital! HALP!

Okay guys (well, whoever reads this rubbish i write anyway xD) I seriously need your help.
I think its time for me to get a tablet or whatever to start doing more stuff in photoshop and make animating a little easier. 'Cause lets face it, you can only do so much with a touch pad mouse :P
But, the thing is, I have no idea where to start. I looked over a few websites and sure, there a lot of nice ones on there but theres so many I have no clue what I'm looking for. Its like @.@ blarg!
So, if anyone can point me to a nice place that won't make my eyes break that has one I can use (mind its only for animating and occasional photoshop scribbles), I would love you forevers :3

There are some things I can always count on during a zombie apocalypse: the car won't start, batteries will die at the most critical moment possible, and someone's going to wander off to investigate that "strange noise" by themselves. But there's something else I can count on: you, Kita. Yes, your fave of my art has proven that when the undead hordes come knocking down my walls, you'll be right there alongside me, blasting away or revving your chainsaw to defend the stronghold.
